Scan Team Lead – Document Imaging & Scanning

Records Management Center (‘RMC’) is Maine’s leader in electronic document imaging and scanning services. RMC is currently seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic and highly organized person to provide supervisory leadership for a small production team in the conversion of paper documents to electronic files. In this key leadership role, your primary responsibility is to ensure that our team works effectively and efficiently to deliver the highest quality results to our customers, who require consistent, expedited service. You will oversee and assist all aspects of the scanning and conversion processes for RMC.

The ability to communicate effectively while engaging customers and directing staff within a fast-paced environment is essential; a positive attitude and strong attention to detail are also crucial attributes for this key leadership role. Supervisory experience within a production environment is fundamental; document imaging / data entry experience and an IT background is a plus. This is a full-time supervisory position, based out of our Bangor, Maine office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to ensure a safe, transparent, motivated and effective workforce.
  • Trains new and current team members for continuous improvement.
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in scanning and conversion software.
  • Effectively communicates with management and customers to ensure high quality accurate products are delivered to customers on time and within budget.
  • Provides oversight through document preparation, scanning, naming, QC and file tracking.
  • Provides IT support to staff and customers
  • Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
  • Monitor hardware, software, for updates and system performance
  • Maintain databases and ensure data integrity and security

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Associate degree in business or IT field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 Years of production or document imaging experience is preferred
  • Ability to independently prioritize, coordinate the team, drive results, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and highly organized.
  • Leads others through positive reinforcement, coaching and team building
  • Solid hands-on hardware skills: PCs, printers and scanners.
  • Demonstrated fast and accurate keyboarding and 10-key skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365 including Excel and PDF
  • Able to work in high-volume/high-production atmosphere.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. from floor level to waist level and carry it a maximum of 10 yards, many times throughout a shift.
